The Catch of The Month SeaBucket #1
We’ll get straight into what’s good on this month’s playlists!
Quick reminder that the Sound/MixCloud playlists have tracks that are not on streaming. The Spotify playlist can easily be transferred to your streaming of choice with a free playlist transferring service!
The first SeaBucketlists were built as a sample of the range and scale of the palette I work with.
Good Music is Good Music. And that’s the criteria here.
I’ll also go into other cultural subjects when its pertinent, but Music is the core.
The “Streamer” List
On this ‘‘streamers” playlist you’ll get stuff like Maysa’s live rendition of “Light My Fire”.
Maysa was too bluesy for Bossa Nova. And her version of this classic is THE coolest.
Also Haruomi Hosono, famous as the co-founder of YMO.
But check his previous project called “Tin Pan Alley”, playing his Country-Samba “Peking Duck”.
Niobe’s timeless “In The Sun” from her 2006 album.
Niobe is a venezuelan-german artist that it’s really worth it exploring.
Some very groovy recordings of “What’s Going On” and “Try a Little Tenderness”.
The former by the brown-eyed psych soul outfit “El Chicano”.
And the latter, a Calypso version that works magically, by the great “Mighty Sparrow”.

The ‘‘Cloud’’ Lists
All the tracks in here are not available on streaming sites. They were gathered over the last 20 years from various blogspots and platforms. It's a thank you to all the people who worked hard to keep this culture alive without expecting anything in return.
On the first edition of this very special playlist, I brought in some real gold from the vaults.
The opening track is from a band you’ll get to hear a lot in here. Odair Cabeça de Poeta & O Grupo Capote.
A staple at Seabucket; but still a very obscure, 70s post-tropicalist act. They were the supporting band of Tom Zé during his boldest period, the recording of "Todos os Olhos".
“The World", which was Neil Innes first project after The Bonzo Band split. Feels like a training ground for "The Rutles". Plus Ian Wallace on drums.
A French pop singer, Antoine. With three gorgeous examples on the playlist, including his version of Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone".
"Dabliueme" who is a indie rapper from Brazil. A groovy boom bap from his first mixtape from 2007, all home-made.
An instrumental track from “The Honeys”, a group formed by Brian Wilson's wife and her sisters. Directly from their debut single, arranged by Brian.
And a lot of other awesome tracks on Soundcloud or Mixcloud!
